Failure - growth process

I not only agree that what we judge as failure is in reality an opportunity for learning and growth but that failure happens because we were unaware of a better choice.  So what would happen to our lives if we could never fail in whatever endeavors we pursued? What if we could always get it right the first time we tried something new?  Is that realistically possible?  For that to happen we must know everything and never be ignorant and unaware.  That is impossible because first of all we cannot be perfect and do everything perfectly because that would mean that at every moment we have knowledge and the wisdom to know what is the best choice.  Even if we know what is the best choice, we also need the courage and detachment to be free of the judgment and approval of others and 100% listen to our intuition which is the guidance of our own soul.  So many of us struggle to listen to our own intuition because we don't even recognize that it was placed within our soul by our Creator to guide and protect us.  How I learned to respect my intuition was that when as a result of  disregarding its guidance in important decisions of my life I experienced pain and suffering, gradually I developed respect for this spiritual faculty within my own soul that is always with me ready to guide and protect me if I would listen to it.

Now is Right on Time

When I look back at my life and remember the most difficult phases of it, my greatest struggle was in thinking and believing that I had wasted so much time in making many bad choices that had brought me so much pain.  Then I would be filled with despair.  The despair was because I felt my choices were mistakes and I would put myself down and be filled with regrets.   I would keep saying to myself and others, only if I had listened to my intuition, I could have prevented myself and my loved ones from suffering so much.  Now that I feel I have done 80% of my healing process , actually I feel grateful for those difficult times as they helped me to become the woman that I have become. So I do agree that the thinking that we have lost time is an erroneous one and it is true that "It took each and every situation that we each have encountered to bring each one of us to the now and now is right on time."

Life is a Journey of Learning & Growth!

Everyone has their own share of challenges, tests, and difficulties, which are opportunities to awaken to our true self.
I strongly believe that each of us is like a candle.  Once lit, we can illumine this world with hope and contribute generously in making it a better place, manifesting joy, peace, and harmony in our own life and the lives of others.

Explore ways to feed your soul and heart!

The reflection for today:  Most of us know how to eat 2-6 times a day and feel physical hunger.  The problem is because we have ignored the needs of our spirit and heart, when they show up as emotional hunger, how do we nurture our soul?  Today as I went for my walk and started to take pictures of flowers, nature and put flowers in my hair, and was looking at the little brook near my new home, in Boquete, Panama, I realized that my spirit was feeling so happy and my heart was at peace.  So what do you do daily to bring joy and peace to your spirit?

In Pursuit of Our Dreams

I have decided to share where I am in my emotional healing journey.  It is interesting that as I have been releasing more hurtful and painful memories from my past I see not only a physical transformation--I am feeling and looking younger--but also the desire to manifest my dreams are becoming stronger.  So that is one of the benefits of doing our emotional healing and releasing negative addictions and using our positive addictions in moderation.

I want to focus us on pursuing our soul dreams.  To do that I have noticed that the time I take daily for prayer, study of inspirational spiritual teachings and reflection on them is elevating my awareness and improving the quality of my life.

With this new heightened awareness I am experiencing more joy and inner peace.  The scriptures of all religions tell us that the purpose of life is to experience joy, inner peace and harmony.

But joy, inner peace and harmony are the by-products of living an intentional life of higher purpose. The first step in creating this kind of new life can be taken either out of a place of desperation or the desire to be inspired by all the new possibilities that life has to offer.

Sometimes life feels like a dance, with beautiful movements, and music that stirs our souls.  In that state of total ecstacy, we lose track of time and are able to be really present to our here and now experience.  This ability of the soul to be really present to Now, is a gift and the more we use it the stronger we feel in being able to let go of the past painful, hurtful and traumatic memories we have experienced and focus instead on what our soul desires to create for our benefit and the benefit of others.
